Continuing Education

To ensure that all licensees maintain and improve their professional skills, each person holding a license issued by the Commission is required to participate in 16 hours of continuing education as a condition for renewal of individual or dual licenses. In order to assist our members is acquiring these continuing education hours, TFDA offers several opportunities to receive continuing education:

  • Regional meetings (go to the calendar page for time and place)
  • Annual convention (go to the convention page for more information)
  • NFDA offers an Online Distance Learning Center. To find out more information, click here or link to their website here.
  • APEX Continuing Education Solutions is our CE endorsed provider.  For a link to their website, click here.

Go to the continuing education page to find out about requirements and other approved providers. ***NEW*** The Texas Funeral Service Commission is offering CE on October 4 & 5, 2010.  You can receive all 16 hours including mandatory courses.  Click here for application form.
